Avatar flindbar 37 post(s) Was working (albeit quite slowly) with Elonarc and Grumore on re-doing the village of the wastes suppliment.
Is there any point continuing with the 3.5e version or is the concensus that DS will more forward to 4e ?

Perhaps “any point continuing” is a bad choice of words.
Instead substitute – would my time be better spent preparing for a 4e version =]

I’d hope to see the planned DS3e products completed – iirc there were quite a few still lined up for release in various stages of completion. My group isn’t adopting 4e and would get considerable use out of more 3e products for Dark Sun. Whether that’s time that could be better spent on 4e or not is not for me to say – it may be the case that there is more interest in seeing 4e material than there is in finishing up the 3e products in the works. I’d still like to see more 3e stuff, though.

Hey Kam …. how things =]
I guess it wouldn’t take that long to put the pieces together and thinking about it realistically ….. DS4e would, in all likelihood, be at least a year away.

I’d love to see secrets of the deadlands done, and the juicy advanced-being undead fully fleshed out!

I second Secrets of the Deadlands, even if it’s not totally done. Is there any chance at all of seeing what’s been done? I mean, it’s been over half a decade…

We are working on r7, the last 3.5 rules set. We are working on finishing up LoA, which will include some new Epic PrCs.
I have been pushing for SotDL to be followed up on. With the difference in settings, I don’t think that we really need to stat out the NPC’s, or make anything else rules wise. However, the Setting Material (read: fluff) is something that is timeless and beyond edition, so that material could be finished and released. The only rules things would be Advanced undead, and I might be able to add that to LoA, as those would be epic anyway.

I too would love to see 3e stuff.
I’m still on the fence about 4e.

I’m in the same boat as Kamelion, my group is not going to be switching to 4e rules but will continue with 3.5e and I would really really love to see the setting material for Secrets of the Deadlands…. looking forward to the r7 edition of 3.5 rules too!

Also, Christopher, can you give us an idea of some of the changes that the r7 3.5 rules will bring?

Avatar Christopher ... 48 post(s)

r7 will not necessarily have rules changes. Think of it more as a fixing of those classes that needed fixing (Templar, Gladiator), new spells and powers, new feats, and some other fun things. I am currently personally working on the “Other Eras of Play” chapter, detailing how to play during other Ages.
Think of r7 as the last thing you’ll need to play in 3.5. It should be the final perfected version.

I’m certain that many people are still interested in 3.5 stuff; not every one will be migrating to 4e.

In my particular case, I’ll probably migrate my DS campaign to GURPS, so I’m far more concerned with fluff than with rules.

Secrets of the Dead Lands is a huge priority for me. I vote for SotDL as well.
