So, Who is Staying
First off, I would really like it if this stayed edition war free, if your a Fourth Edition fan, that’s fine I don’t care nor do I want to hear about it. Thanks. I just want to know who is planning on staying with Third Edition, 3.5 Edition, or even Pathfinder as they are easy to convert between. I’m planning on staying with 3.5 for a while, at least until the economy picks back up locally and I can afford researching a new game system. |

I’m planning on staying with 3.5 too. 4th edition is not the D&D for me. I’m also looking on Pathfinder, but I’ll consider to use it for a Dark Sun campaign when they’ll do an upgrade on the various psionic class (I’m too lazy to do that myself ^^’) |

Going to give 4E DS a try but my intent is go back to 3.5 afterward. |

Been running a DS Pathfinder campaign for 2 years now and it’s been going really well. Until recently, we were using 3.5 EPH rules with some home-brew class conversions to match the Pathfinder ones. We’ve now started using the beta versions of Dreamscarred’s conversion of the rules. If you haven’t heard about Dreamscarred, you should check them out as they specialize in all things psionic (http://dreamscarredpress.com/dragonfly/index.php). Among other things they’ve undertaken to convert all 3.5 psionics rules to Pathfinder rules. You can find all alpha and beta Pathfinder versions of all psionic classes and prestige classes through this link: http://dreamscarredpress.com/dragonfly/ForumsPr… So, all that to say, I’m staying with 3rd/Pathfinder. |

I mostly play a 2nd ed home brew, but I have no interest in 4th. 3.5 has its moments, and I like it as a system. |

Thank you for the links, laric. I hope they’ll update soon all the psionic rules. It would be very interesting to see a Pathfinder update of the Gladiator and Templar classes. |
ill be dming 3.5 but i might play 4e if someone else is dming |

Hey Hades, I’ve done Pathfinder updates of the Gladiator, Templar and Bard classes. I based all of them in the new classes that Pathfinder is releasing in Advanced Player Options: the Gladiator is based on the Cavalier (minus all the mounted combat and chivalry abilities), the templar is based on the Inquisitor and the Bard is based on the Alchemist. My gaming group seems to think that it’s worked pretty well. |

Great! Can you PM or link them, please? |
Yes Laric, please share. |

Hades and Phoenix, check it out (unfortunately, the tables don’t show up very well due to formatting): |

I am staying 3.5 as well…..4.0 was just a money grab by Wizards so screw them….The biggest problem with 3.5 was that magic items and powerful spells were too common (Creation Feats) and therefore getting something cool, wasn’t cool anymore….Yes, I have two +5 Adamantium, Alignment switching swords of speed….Big deal!!! Yes I am casting a Sudden Maximized Meteor Storm….Die!! (Thats wont happen in my wordl!!) The world of DS fixes all that by making magic, let alone steel very rare…….Casters are very powerful, but limited in scope and numbers…. |

I’m staying 3.5e as well. Hate the impending “reverse Forgotten Realms” retcon that will be Dark Sun 4e. |
