Are there any official Psionic rules in the pipeline? Maybe in the Playershandbook II?
Does anybody have experience with selfmade psionics in 4E?
Whats the status quo of whith psioncis in Dark Sun in general?

There will be. Though, as it turns out, not in PHB II. they’ve already identified what the power sources there will be, and Psionics isn’t one of them.
Psionics generally comes out about a year after the core system. I wouldn’t expect it to take too long, because the Eberron campaign setting uses psionics, much like Dark Sun does/did. Eberron is likely to be next year’s Forgotten Realms, so we can expect something by that point.
Of course, they might actually put the psionics rules in the eberron setting books ….

If they release DS and replace the Psionic power source with the Eternal Power of the Sandwastes or whatever…I’ll kill someone.

Yep, dunno what you want me to do with it though. It seems fine, really. The powers may be too straight a translation in their names…maybe? More creative names would fit better with the new 4e naming scheme. But that’s hardly a critical comment. You can’t know this but all I’ve did until today is play a Warlock for 5 hours, so I have no experience comparing classes to each other, balancing them, etc.

I was looking for some feedback before I got you tp stick it up on Athas.org if thats ok. Wondering if there were any glaring holes in it. Feedback on the names and fluff etc and the class can always be changed.

AFAIK there is no current plan to host any 4e material on athas.org before the WotC D&D licensing is made clearer about fan sites, i.e. if they have any more official mandates or not.

However, I’ve been muddling my way through some backend work to try and get something a lot more contribution based than we’ve had set up in the past.
I would have liked to make it nicely structured, but nearly everything that follows a structured pattern ends up breaking it somewhere along the way … it’s almost like the best structure I’ll get is a bunch of name-value pairs. Yum.
D&D + relational database == pain.

my generic reply: I despise waiting, as community we should do it our own way. Don’t agree on it, readers, it’s quite futile… D&D 4 has some nice readings, though I won’t buy it. Especially on psionics D&D 3.5 had a nice summary in Soveliors SRD and the advanced psionics handbook introduced the divine mind character class, which I liked back then.

I have some difficulties decoding AMP’s meaning. The phrases make sense taken individually, but the whole is a bit obscure. What is the purpose of his post? It’s an opinion on something, but on what and about what? Can’t be sure.

I am glad someone else had some trouble figuring out what was going on, I think it is a comment against 4th edition being an improvement, mixed with a suggestion that we keep using 3.5 psionics until such time as 4th edition rules come out for darksun and perhaps a hint at withholding final judgment about 4th edition’s quality until such time as we see more examples of the system than just the core books.
