With the release pdf Kas The Betrayer in Dragon Magazine as a Solo Vampire level 26, i was thinking of making the same for the Sorceror-King. Each as a Solo creature of their old level.
Like Hamanu as a 23 Solo encounter. So for a one on one, he kill nearly everyone but for a Epic PC party, he is a possible challenge. Add some templar and the encounter become tougher.
So maybe, Hamanu 23rd Solo Controller (Leader) Nibenay 24th Solo Artillery Lalali-Puy 22nd Solo Artillery
What are you’re idea on it?

I had similar ideas. Borys would clock inat around level 30-32 or so. Makes for an eaxy conversion from 2nd ed as whatever level they were in 2nd ed you can port directly over.

Gotta love the whole Elite/Solo scheme that makes them tougher without doubling or tripling their availlable powers, like you’d have had to do to make them tougher in 2e/3e by giving them more levels…and more feats, and more spells, and more powers, and more skills, and more class abilities, arghhh! NPC stat block nightmare, tears of blood, yadi yada.

yeah its one thing about 4th ed I like alot better than 3.5. Kyuss in the age of worms adventure path had a 3-3 page stat block or something crazy. I’ve been meaning to get around to doing a Dragon epic destiny and rules for NPC Dragons. Its probably better to do each one as a unique being and most of them should probably be leaders or maybe artillery.

I like this idea as well. However, I wonder if they shouldn’t be a bit higher than what they were in DK.
Rajaat: 35th Solo Leader Borys: 31st Solo Controller Dregoth: 29th Solo Controller
I am starting with these to establish the upper limits. I figured Rajaat scares even Borys, so it can’t be that close of a match between them. I don’t want Rajaat higher, myself, so it’s possible for a group of PCs to fight him. For story, maybe it requires something special or he reforms in the black, but not in a prison. Or near the Pristine Tower? I also want Borys to be a match for several of the SKs, except for Dregoth, which is why they still bow to Borys.
I am including all SKs from the first boxed set, for those like myself who would want the information.
Androponis: 22nd Solo Lalali-Puy: 22nd Solo Nibenay: 24th Solo Leader Abalach-Re: ? Hamanu: 23rd Solo Controller Tectuktitlay: ? Kalak: 21st Solo Artillery
At first, I didn’t like Kalak being low compared to the others. I know that is why he tried the ritual he did, to go straight to dragon. I guess I don’t know 4E enough to know if these levels are enough such that they can’t easily take each other out. I wonder if this is the reason that Kalak died? He was the lowest level, and so lacking in power compared to the others? I am also wondering if this is the reason that the designers freed Tyr? These levels do explain why they hid in their cities when Borys went mad, as not even all of them could probably have taken him.
Finally, to be complete, we have
Daskinor: ? Sielba: ? Kalid-Ma: ?
And then on the Avangion side, we have:
Oronis:
I didn’t do Sacha and Wyan because they have been heads for so long.
So, what do people think they should be?

Kalak seem to be listed as 25th level in the City-State of Tyr book. Daskinor as a 22nd level. Abalach-Re as a 21st level in a quest, want to jump to level 25 with her spell. Oronis as a 24th level Avangion.
Tectuktitlay and others are probably of level unknown, probably between 21 and 23.

Again, after re-reading the Prism Pentad, and some of the boxed sets, I would put Rajaat as a 33rd level solo, Borys as a 30th level (maybe 29th) solo and Dregoth as a 28th (maybe 29th) level solo. The rest of them would be from 21-25 level solo creatures. Oronis is probably not much more than a 22nd level avangion. Just some more thoughts.
