The beta version of Legends of Athas is available at http://athas.org/products/LoA

This will probably seem like a stupid question, but what does it mean when a product is beta versus final? I understand the concept, but does it mean that the beta version is still incorporating changes whereas the final version will no longer change?
The reason I am asking is that I am printing out some of the products on this site, but in order to avoid unecessary waste of paper and ink, I wonder if I should wait for products to become final before I print them. After all I can always consult them in pdf format.
Another question is how long does a product typically remain beta? Is it in the range of weeks, months or years?

Beta typically means that we’re actively wanting feedback on a product, and that it’s subject to change … but most of the content is in place and it should be usable.
