Secrets of the Dead Lands

Christopher said in this thread (http://arena.athas.org/forums/ds-3/topics/best-...): I have been pushing for SotDL to be followed up on. With the difference in settings, I don’t think that we really need to stat out the NPC’s, or make anything else rules wise. However, the Setting Material (read: fluff) is something that is timeless and beyond edition, so that material could be finished and released. The only rules things would be Advanced undead, and I might be able to add that to LoA, as those would be epic anyway.. Any news on this front? I noticed that the last status update includes SotDL as a product currently on hold. This is my third post in these forums regarding a plea for SotDL. Sorry; I promise I’ll stop nagging. It’s just that I’ve been looking forward to laying my eyes on this product for a decade now, and would really like to do it, eventually . By the by, I support the release of SotDL’s setting material without rules and NPC’s stats. Is this viable? |

As I have mentioned on a couple of occasions, Secrets of the Dead Lands will be moved up the priority list once the DS3 Core Rules R7 is released. As a volunteer organization we need to finish up some of the projects we´ve already started and not spread our resources too thin. It is not unlikely that we release Secrets of the Dead Lands as a series of documents rather than one big cataclysm. Change will come. |

This is good news and I really support the release of the product as a series of documents. Thanks. |

I can verify that this is the course we will follow. |
