Here is an update for what athas.org members are working on and an estimated on how complete each project is.

Secret of the Dead Lands 65%
This will be a guide to the undead kingdoms of the Dead Lands and will be very lite on rules.

The Emissary 65%
This will be the Dead Lands adventure.

City-State of Balic 50%

Faces of the Dead Lands 10%
A NPC and rules guide to the Dead Lands, similar to Faces of the Forgotten North.

Also there is the index project flip mentioned in another post. While work has been started on City-State of Celik that project is on hold as we focus on the other sections of the Dead Lands first.

How much of these projects are going to by supported by wizards? Are they going to release their own guide to Balic that contradicts Athas.org’s or are they still supporting Athas.org as the “official” Dark Sun site?

Just out of curiosity, does that mean any of this will be released in 2010? Keep up the great work guys.

I’m interested in this to. Depending on how busy my summer is going to be, i’d be interested in helping out, even if it was some small amount.

The last I have seen both Secrets of the Dead Lands and The Emissary are both about 75% done. There has not been any progress on the other projects since the last update. Well that is not true. I wrote a couple of paragraphs for City-State of Balic, so lets say that is now at 51% completed.

In your opinion which of those projects contains the more new rules?(If there are new ones).

Also have you any idea if they will come out before or after the 4th edition DS comes out?

I really wait for Secret of the Dead Lands, The Emissary and Faces of the Dead Lands: the Obsidian Plains are maybe the most dangerous and singular place of all Athas, and is also one of the accessories that TSR never released, besided “Dregoth Ascending”.
