hello, do starting charecters in dark sun start at level one or three? i have heard it both ways and i just want to be sure.

The Original Box Set starts PC’s at level 3, however, I think that this is up to the group and the DM. For example, in the campaign that I run players begin at level 1 and gain levels slowly. I feel it is more important to gain skills and feats, so I focus the player’s attention and ability to use these more than gaining experience and levels. It’s really up to how you want to play.
