Bodach seems so cool! i want to include it in my campaign but i cant find much. are the normaly brainless undead now inteligent? (zombies skeletons) i seem to remember a spell that did something like that. and is the city ruled by a necromancer or a powerfull undead leader. i got some ideas for different types of undead. like elite skeleton troops that have a bone and obsidian bracer that pumps them full of negitive energy keeping them alive and giving them fast healing.

Bodach gets a pretty good description in the novel, “The Nomad,” when Sorak visits it. He is led there by a female Pyreen known as “The Silent One” that lives nearby in Salt View, the only one who was known to have ever visited Bodach & survived. Interestingly, in Salt View, there’s a tavern that has a gambling game that is basically a low-tech RPG adventure that takes players on a trip to Bodach, and the way the city is laid out in the adventure is very similar to how it is in real life. The Silent One watches how people play the game & judges them by their actions.

Anyways, the Silent One takes Sorak to Bodach & they recover the Breastplate of Argentum from Bodach’s horde, and then take it to a tower amongst the ruins that is the secret shelter of an avangion known as “The Sage”. The “Sage” is supposed to be the “Wanderer” that wrote “The Wanderer’s Journal” from the original boxed set. He uses the Breastplate to power his next avangion metamorphosis spell.

As for the undead, in “The Nomad” they only come out at night. They’re mostly unintelligent zombies & skeletons, but they have vague memories of their previous lives and they’re filled with longing for an escape from undeath & hatred for all the living. They can be hacked into pieces with normal weapons but continue to attack – they’ll only be destroyed by a magic weapon (or magic spells). When they’re not attacking invaders, they scour the town for its valuables & bring them to a central horde deep in the catacombs.
