Well, character histories are allowed here, so I might as well share a character with you guys. It’s been a long time since the older stuff happened, so it may be a little out of order or fuzzy. If any of you have any character histories you’d like to share, please feel free.
Seefi Lüs: He was a knight of the Temple of the Silent Ones, sent out to gather infromation on Ur Draxa, and ended up going to Nibenay. In Nibenay he met Ith- A tari theif, Newmoon- a human ranger, Ogrim- a dray myrmidon, and Mr. Green- a human assassian. And I’m pretty sure there was a half-giant as well. We hung around in the city a while, and eventually Ith stole something… and got caught. Naturally, as a lawful person, he yelled at him and made a scene. Templars and half-giants were soon to follow. So, the two got taken off to the Arena. Seefi Lüs was beaten and battered, whereas Ith got his shackles free. The next day, Seefi Lüs was thrown into the arena and fought a Xorn. The beast surprised him and was quick to hold him down, but the knight got a lucky shot and stunned the beast. In his haste to flee, the beast caught him and made quick work of him. He awoke in a land of gray haze, with a magnificent Jelly Fish floating in the air. “It is not yet your time, young knight”, the being said and slowly floated at him. Seefi Lüs then awoke next to a cleric who revived him. He later found Ith, who had scratched a naga to death (which would be about the only thing Ith would ever kill). Tension between Ith and Seef Lüs fluctuated, which got templars called on them, which were easily bribed. Eventually, the party couldn’t get back into the city before the gates closed and had to stay the night outside. A demon was summoned on them and Seefi Lüs was nearly killed. Mr. Green fooled the beast with an illusion, and the guard showed up in time to save the party, allowing it to stay in a guard house over night. The party helped Mr. Green in his attempts to get into a noble’s house while going outside to the forest only to get attacked by the occasional monster. Eventually, Mr. Green got into the party as a musician and was quickly killed when he tried to assassinate a member of the noble family. The party made plans to leave for Tyr with a House Shom caravan to get money. There was a Cerebrelith summoned from outside of Athas to kill the party, and when all hope was but lost, Seefi Lüs ripped the heart right out of it, slaying the beast outright. An Earth drake was encountered along the way, which was attacked but could not be quite defeated, so Seefi Lüs and Newmoon fled, while the half-giant was not so lucky. The travel continued onto Tyr, with the slightly smaller party working as outriders to deliver a mysterious chest to the House Shom warehouse in Tyr. Once we arrived in Tyr, we stayed the night with the caravan outside, in a mekillot’s shell. On Ith and Newmoon’s watch, the caravan was ambushed by a group of elves. Once the tari and human were ambushed, the fight soon turned against them. They yelled out for Seefi Lüs, who awoke and came to the partie’s help. He soon killed a couple of the elves, but as he snapped the neck of one of them, another got a lucky shot on Ith, killing him. Seefi Lüs glared as he finished jerking the elf’s head to snap it, and the elf dropped his bow and fled. Seefi Lüs quickly chased down the elf, grabbing his neck and ripping out his spine. The party went into Tyr in the morning, getting in line to enter the city. Ith tried to steal from a Psionicist named Martin, who ran the Psionics acedemy and quickly battered Ith mentally. He then took the party’s furry friend and left. The party had to pass a screening from an old man with a stick designed to notice the presence of magic. Magic had been outlawed in Tyr not too long ago. When the party got into Tyr, they quickly went with the caravan to the House Shom warehouse, meeting a bard along the way. The party was rewarded and saw that the chest contained a leaved plant that was stained black. The party mingled in the city for a while, marveling at the giant ziggurat. We eventually met up with a contact- Ralek, a dwarven priest of the Black. He brought us to BFK (Balic Fried Kes’Trekel) and brought us down into Under Tyr, where many magic items had been hidden, I beleive the party was to transport them out of the city somehow. Stupidly enough, the Ranger cast a spell and Sadira got alerted. And then she appeared before us: Sadira. Elder elemental of magic, and ruler of Tyr. Seefi Lüs grabbed Ith and stepped through reality, ending up in the streets of tyr. Ralek was also quick to escape. Ogrim prayed to Dregoth to be saved, and was thus killed so that Sadira wouldn’t notice him. The other two, Si the bard and Newmoon the ranger, were not so lucky. Sadira captured them and tortured them, using the sun and a lense to sear away the skin from them and blind them until Si talked. Learning of Ralek being in her city, she became outraged, for it was him that destroyed all magic in the world, it was him that weakened her element, it was him that drove her into insanity. So she let them go, cast Newmoon out into the city blinded, and gave Si some magic items to aid him in killing Ralek, most importantly of all a ring that he was supposed to wear while he stood near Ralek. Si then went out to look for Seefi Lüs, who noticed that the bard who got caught had gotten free- with magic items! Assuming the worst, he offered a “free teleport out of the city”. He stepped through reality, into an alley way instead, where he murdered the bard and cast his junk aside. After his collection of the information, he went to save Ith. He found Martin’s academy for the way and tried to enter, getting mentally assaulted and stopped before he could enter. A party member who had been working there helped him go into Martin’s office and bargained for Ith back. With the party complete again, and the ranger healed, as well as a new member- a githzerai psion. He went on his quest to collect knowledge for Ur Draxa, meeting Rylek, the Elder Shadow elemental, and also learning that the black leaves were from a special esperweed grown on the moon. With his information gained, they set out to the Temple of the Silent Ones. The trip was long and hard, but they eventually found a small crack in the mountainside that Seefi Lüs, and his healed acquaintence Newmoon went into. As soon as they got into a cave, they noticed statues around the walls and a single crystal. Meanwhile, the rest of the party met up with a winged human druid who had his guarded land in this area. They as a group also went into the crack, but the thing had sealed itself off from the cave, where the two adventurers were mentally assaulted, and staved off the mental attacks for a long time, only to collapse at the crystal. The crystal then projected the image of a women in armor who brought the wounded adventurers into the next room, where they met many perils, until they eventually got to Grumbar’s Fountain, where Seefi Lüs learned it would grant his heart’s desire, so he naturally wished to be at the Temple of the Silent ones with all of his companions, and he ended up there. He found Syzergy, the head knight, and then met with Sapyn, the Primal Drake of Time, The first thing on Athas, The Psychokinetics master, and the creator of the Yuan-ti. He was then charged with the task of actually going to Ur Draxa. He went through the library to find a way to traverse the lava ocean, and found a book about the Lord Mariner, who had once been under Borys’ control. The party then used the Psionic Gate to teleport to the Valley of Dust and Fire, slowly making their way towards the gate of doom. The party squared off against a swarm of Ash Fleas, then finally made it to the edge of the lava. They eventually contacted the Lord Mariner, who let them on his boat only because of the Dray that accompany him. While on the boat they encountered a giant Magma Drake, nearly being seared to death by it, the party and undead crew eventually take it out. After about a day of sailing, they made it to the land where Ur Draxa was, and they had a chat with Tithian (who was quite an asshole, and I think that happened at this time, maybe on the way back, maybe sometime before meeting the Lord Mariner). And then they finally made their way to the gates of Ur Draxa. Puzzled as how to get in, the Ranger summoned an elemental to do it anyways. This automatically alerted a Kaisharga, who was quick to show and throw Seefi Lüs and his pals into jail, confiscating all of their stuff. Eventually they got out, though (I forgot how), and they made their way to the Dragon’s Sanctum, where there were numberous mages all casting spells into the small forested park to keep shadow creatures at bay. Seefi Lüs grabbed a party member and turned himself ethereal, going into the middle of the Dragon’s Sanctum as instructed by Sapyn. when they got into the middle they found a giant, cracked, black sphere. Out of which a shadow giant popped. Seefi Lüs made quick work of the beast. With everything done and over with, Nibenay soon showed up: In dragon form. He picked up the black sphere and let out an amazing yell, throwing the sphere down and shattering it. He then instucted the party to go and learn or kill of Rajaat. He then had his High Templar present the party with magic items, and thus ends the first part of the character’s biography.
That’s like a third or so of everything that the character’s been through, I’d have to say level 1 to about level 20. If anyone wants to know more or wants the character’s stats, just ask. But, feel free to reply with stories from your own characters or game.
