Tithian is great in the novels. Just enough of a good side to keep you wondering if reform is possible.

I was also really pleased with what we did in Ashes of Athas with recurring villains. Obadias, leader of the True, was reviled (in a good way) by players. However, the templar of Balic, Praetor Verzonious, really seemed to strike a nerve with players - especially when he put their names on a list to be on the dragon’s levy!

Hitasho Ken, the Dragon’s Lord Vizier. I got a lot of use out of both the Lord Warrior and the Lord Vizier in an old campaign.
