New Dark Sun minis for my games

Thanks! I’m going to check that out and see whether it’s feasible for me as I live in EU/the Netherlands.

I got mine on ETSY. Just search dark
Sun miniatures and tons come up. I have a mekillot that looks cool too! I also
Have 3D desert gaming mats and terrain but the regular maps I love are on dmsguild.com and made by heroic maps. Heroic maps also has their own website.

Didn’t know his work, thanks for the tip.
Also thanks for the Etsy tip, there’s one quite near to me whose shipping is good.

Yeah those maps I especially like! Their modular maps like the dry ravine ones and valley of the ancients would fit Dark Sun perfectly. I am thinking of writing an adventure where a member of the veiled alliance has hired you to help him find an artifact in the mountains in the valley of the ancients. He is outfitted with a mekillot for carrying water and items but must be escorted for protection. You will travel through the barren ravines (the maps mentioned) where slave tribes, gith and many other dangerous creature roam. The veiled alliance hasn’t told you that the guardian for the artifact is a nightmare beast but along the way you begin seeing and experiencing the tell tale signs.

That sounds like a cool adventure idea, clean and simple - although the nightmare beast is a big bad and quite a challenge.

The modular maps you tip I’ll check out, thanks!

Thank you for finding these.
Quick question for those in the know, have any of you found models for miniatures of thri-kreen with abdomens?

I mostly just use miniatures I have from various boardgames, like Conan and Pantheon. However, I don’t have much skill with assembling or painting minis. What charcon has here is awesome!

I just wanted to let you all know that I’m incredibly jealous. Miniatures have always been a problem for me, regarding dark sun. A good paint job can go a long way, but those minis are outstanding!

I now want a printer even more! Thanks for sharing. I’d love to see more. I’d also love to see your dark sun terrain, if you make your own (in another thread?)

Anyway, awesome stuff!

Did any of you know the work by this guy? He seems to have made 3D models of very classic DS illustrations by Brom: https://www.artstation.com/clayman/albums/2390171

yes He is in our FB group. The miniatures are fantastic but the weapons are a bit thin.

Ah right. I see what you mean there upon second view. They do look like they could use some more volume/body indeed. Else they will even break earlier in Athas
