We are going to have an Amazing cave tileset for our NWN Dark Sun project Thanks to Merricksdad. He has been hard at work creating a totally custom cave tileset, so thanks for everything you have done and are still doing Merricksdad.

We are working on custom models for every player race, some are only place holders for now others are getting really close to being done, thanks to Acidchalk and now Tjured has started helping with them as well.

Creating the world of Athas (Dark Sun) as a 3D world for players to explore.
We are using all the old Dark Sun artwork as guides when creating our models.
Thanks to Tjured for creating the Braxat. Its really nice seeing these old black and white artwork being recreated as 3D models and giving animations, then brought to live before your eyes.

We have a really friendly core group of people working on this project already, however we are always looking for more. If this is a project that you feel like you would enjoy helping with just contact me.
I am simply curious. I see you put a lot of works on this project. Since I don’t play computer games and such since a good moment now, I was wondering if there are still peoples playing to that kind of games which are several years old.
yes there are still a lot of people playing NWN. There are more who play it off line then online. However there servers who have any where from 5 to 60 people on them all the time. Along with the Arelith server which has any where from 120 to close to 200 people online at once most of the time.
However most people just NWN to create adventures for their friends and not as an MMO which is why you get a lot of servers with just 1 to 10 people on them as well. Which is also the reason why there are more people who play it off line just downloading single player modules/adventures and playing through them on their own.
For our project we are aiming to pull in new people from the PnP D&D community, People who enjoy playing RPG and who would like to play something while waiting for their next D&D table top game to come back around. Long story short we are looking to help grow the NWN community and not aim what we are doing at the current people who are playing NWN.
Plus this will be the only Dark Sun (world of Athas) video game server online that I’m a ware of. So up to this point if you want to play Dark Sun you have to play PnP D&D or one of the really old 1990s PC games.
Well I just recreated the City State of Tyr’s Ziggurat for the 4th and final time. The first time i created it I had never made a 3D model before so I was just learning. There for as i was trying to learn how to create 3D models and learn Gmax I recreated it a few times. Long story short I have switched from Gmax to Blender and I have really started learning how to use the program to the point that I new that I could create some better looking models using it.
So here is the City State of Tyr’s Ziggurat for our project.
If anyone would like to help by creating custom textures for it let me know. Other wise I will have to create them myself at a later point and time.
