I was just wondering. We’ve seen dozens of posts about the builds of the various dragons and avangions.
Why not character elementals?
I’m not asking for builds of no name NPCs. Just what you think would be a good psionic discipline to pair with each element.
For starters, I think an earth elemental would pick psychportation just because it would be funny to see them lumbering towards their foe just to suddenly teleport and be right in their face! 
Just in off-the-cuff attribute terms, I imagine you’d see a lot of Clairsentience and Telepathy, which are heavily Wisdom-based.
Wasn’t the “multiple ability requirements” part of the first Psionics book? I thought that got pruned in the Expanded Psionics book.
Thematically, I’d feel like Psychoportation would go with Air (because of mobility, and Air is associated with freedom on Athas); Psychometabolism would go with Water (because of the importance of water to life); and Psychokinesis with Earth (though in the 3e version possibly Metacreativity instead). Not sure about Fire.
Fire would probably be psychokinesis, leading up to the pyrokinesis prestige class.
Because more burning.
Hmm, that does make sense. That works great for the 3e psionic disciplines, since Earth could easily be Metacreativity in the 3e psionic disciplines, but I’m not sure about 2e.
