Echohawk's Collector's Guide to Dark Sun (ported with permission)

Welcome to the Dark Sun Collector’s Guide!

This is one of a series of Echohawk’s D&D Collector’s Guides (ported to Athas.org from ENWorld with permission from Echohawk), each of which aims to provide a comprehensive guide to D&D products published for a particular setting or era of the game. This particular guide focuses on the Dark Sun campaign setting, which initially ran from 1991 to 1996, and had a 4th edition reboot in 2010.

The Collector’s Guide series started with Dark Sun. A picture of Bohemian Ear Spoon’s 4e Dark Sun collection in the Pinnacle of your Collection thread made Echohawk wonder exactly how much Dark Sun material had been produced over the years? One thing led to another, and soon the first Collector’s Guide was posted on the ENWorld forums. (And the answer to the question was “lots”…)

As noted, this was the first installment when the Collector’s Guides were initially published. The original thread for this Collector’s Guide is here.

Collector’s Guides: 1st Edition, 2nd Edition, 3rd Edition, 4th Edition, Next, Al-Qadim, Birthright, Blackmoor, Dark Sun, Dragonlance, Eberron, Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Kingdoms of Kalamar, Lankhmar, Miscellaneous, Mystara, Oriental Adventures, Planescape, Ravenloft, Spelljammer

A hell of a list. Thank you!

It’s a shame so many of the links on this list are broken.

I fixed a few of them, but I had to use the Wayback archive to pull it off.

If anyone is willing to point out broken links to me, I can edit the broken links if archives of the site/link can be found.

Could we perhaps have the project of verifying / fixing the links (using the wayback machine) added to the Project Bounty Board?

Okay. Done.

Thank you very much.

According to Raddu, this is missing “At Last Freedom.”

Thank you. Would you or @raddu happen to know which section of the list it belongs in?

The linked post says “AD&D 2nd Edition convention adventures

Well, that was a fun challenge for my novice Regex abilities!

This is done; I’ve fixed every link, added quite a few more, improved the formatting slightly, and fixed a couple of minor errors I noticed (I have not vetted the entire list). Where do you want it?

I find it ironic that we are relying on something posted on ENWorld for the canonical version of this, when our very own flip had the best one back in the day…

Where do you want it?

I made the above posts wiki posts which means anyone should be able to edit them. Go ahead and edit with what you’ve got.

Yes, flip had it before, but it wasn’t nearly as exhaustive as Echohawks.

I added this and one or two others that were missing.

Notes on changes

  • Dungeon #187, “Dark Sun Threats”: I see nothing indicating that the title of this was “Dark Sun: Threats of Athas.”
  • Dragon #220, p. 98: “Hunt’s End”: The linked D&D Lore Wiki page says that the article starts on p. 96, but I’ve left it, not owning a copy to check.
  • Dragon #415, “Eye on Dark Sun: The Ghost Caravan”: I see nothing to indicate that “of Death” should be included.
  • Wizard’s Spell Compendium should perhaps be removed.
  • I did not change any of the dates for the Athas.org releases, but some of them don’t match up with Burnt World of Athas - Products.
  • 277: Silver Hands: The card does not seem to include “Revenge.”
  • Obviously, let me know of any remaining errors or desired changes!

Double-check this, please; I had already created this before you added these. I think I already had them in there, but I may have missed something.
