Gladiatorial Performances: Team Strike

I’m currently creating the Gladiator class abilities for Neverwinter Nights & I just had to comment on how bad a deal Team Strike is. Why would a gladiator ever give up a standard action for this? The only situation I can see this being used is if the Gladiator had already been disarmed & had a nearby teammate.

Also, Team usually denotes more than two people. I think this ability should scale with the Gladiator’s class level or Perform skill to effect more nearby party members.
