I had a blast writing about elemental worship in the Ashes of Athas adventures. All of the paraelements were great. Silt or Magma were so wicked, and Rain so tough a choice. Fire and Sun were fun choices too. Then there were the concepts of mixing them with the Grey and the Black, where you could have Ash, Smoke, Dust, and Salt. Great villain fodder, but also really cool concepts for a PC that has a dark side and searches for the light. If I had to pick one as a player, it is Sun… that force just always is a goldmine for the player, just as in the official novels.
