The Horde of Nisara - Adventure/Campaign

For those interested, I’ve written an adventure very loosely based on “Red Hand of Doom”.
You can find it here : The Horde of Nisara
And the map that goes with it here : The Horde of Nisara - Map

It is not finished, but quite complete. Comments and remarks are welcome.
The stat blocks are yet to be done.

I’ve included some elements from Valley of the Spine by Dante132@aol.com, but could not get in touch with him, any idea if I can reuse this stuff in the adventure or should remove/adapt it?

Having been publicly posted 13 yrs ago for DMs such as you to enjoy and presumably make use of, i suspect it’d be ok for you to use content from that article, assuming you include a reference to the author and article, and don’t plan to sell the adventure.

Thank you for your response. The initial article (The Sands of Athas #1) is in fact way older, 1997. I also presume it was proposed to be used by other DMs, and I have mentioned the contribution of the author. I would have liked to have an agreement of the author, but the e-mail is not working anymore.
@Raddu Do you have any more info about that?

You’re totally fine to use that stuff. Just include a note where it’s from and the author.

Just finished reading it - the adventure is nicely done; very cool.

PS: the plural of gith is gith, not giths. :face_with_monocle:

Thanks for your feedback.
I will fix for gith in the next revision of the document.

Just out of curiosity, how are you planning on releasing the adventure? Have you thought about doing a stats appendix?

What do you mean by “planning on releasing the adventure” ? If you want to update/modify it to make it an “athas.org” adventure, I see no problem with that.

I’ve updated the adventure with the stats (should be re-checked) (and no more “giths”).
It’s not clearly explained in the adventure, but some NPC have “greater body adjustment” tattoos to heal 2d12 hit points, and clay amulets instead of potions (I do not use fruit potions).

Well, generally folks don’t write up and format an adventure the way you have of its just for themselves, so I’m assuming you’ve laid it out the way you have for others to see. Were you thinking about just posting it here in the Arena, or also on Reddit, or on Facebook, etc…?

Indeed, it was intended for the athas.org/arena community. I did not intend to post it somewhere else, arena seems the best place for Dark Sun IMHO, but can be shared.

This looks great, I’ll give it a read. I suggest you format it with 2 columns. Makes it easier to read on mobile.

I made the change, it’s now in a two columns format.
